Last night at the Society talk I was told by a man about some weird plants he had seen in Cuerden and about this female mandarin. I decided to not go geocaching today and stick to wildlife. I got the mandarin and she was quite obliging.

Marsh Marigold is in flower.

I found this next to Bryning Brook. It could be the wild oxlip rather than the cowslip which isn't in flower yet.

The flowers are too big for cowslip and too small for false oxlip. I checked the leaves and they narrowed abruptly.

In Cuerden I found this pink form of primrose.

The common one is doing well.
