Cuerden Valley Park 4/6

I was surprised to find this weld on a field on the way home. At first I thought it was a garden escapee.
This is wild turnip - very similar to wintercress, rape and charlock.
This is wintercress.
Thats one of the willowherbs ^

Hemlock Water Dropwort
Meadow Thistle
River water crowfoot.
Watercress.
4 Spotted Chaser.

This red damselfly posed a while for me.
Common Spotted Orchid flower.
This bloody cranesbill was in flower in the wildflower garden in Cuerden.
I then went to the grassy verge near the newsagents. I found this hedge woundwort. Its leaves are supposed to smell. I forgot to try it.
The hedgerow cranesbill was in flower by it.

All excellent photos Jack, I'd have been glad to have got any one of them.
