Sand Dunes Walk 27/7

Today me and Peter went for another wild flower walk on the dunes. We saw natterjack toadlets. Seaside centaury - much bigger than the common centaury.
Smooth cats ear - very scarce member of the dandelion family.

These are the flowers of dune helleborine.
Spike.
This is a spike of green flowered helleborine. The flowers droop downwards.
The flowers rarely open. This was a spike that had only 2 flowers left on it so I opened the flower up a bit.
Lesser water plantain.
Canadian Goldenrod

Common fleabane.
Dark green fritillary.
This is a garden escape variety of lavender.
Grass of Parnassus
Black Nightshade not yet producing the black berry.

Bog Pimpernel
There were carpets of it.
